WAYMON KINLEY
OWNER

Waymon “Way” Kinley is a 37-year-old culinary professional and New York native, proudly representing Queens. His journey in food began with formal training in Italian and American cuisine in New York, later completing his culinary path in Savannah, Georgia—a city that would become central to both his career and personal growth.

After relocating to Savannah around 2005, Way spent years traveling and gaining experience across various kitchens, sharpening his skills in both culinary arts and hospitality. His dedication and leadership quickly set him apart, earning him a role as one of the head chefs at SCAD’s renowned Griffin Tea Room early in his Savannah career. From there, he continued building his reputation through work in a variety of restaurants, constantly evolving his craft and approach to service.

Way’s passion goes beyond cooking—he believes deeply in serving people with purpose. For him, food is both an art form and a way to connect, uplift, and inspire others. Known for his creativity and hands-on mindset, Way lives by a personal philosophy: never say “I can’t.” He approaches life with action over hesitation, believing that doing—not trying—is the key to growth and success.

Outside the kitchen, Way has a love for old-school cars and creative expression in all forms. Today, he channels his experience, vision, and passion into Way’s Wings and Wraps, where he continues to push culinary boundaries while staying rooted in authenticity and community.

Beyond the kitchen, Way is deeply committed to making an impact. He actively gives back to the community by working with youth, feeding the homeless, and using his voice as a public speaker to inspire and uplift others. He strives to be a positive influence and a source of motivation, showing people what’s possible through discipline, purpose, and belief in oneself.

Way isn’t just building a business—he’s building a legacy. To him, knowledge is free, but time is priceless—and he uses both to leave a lasting impact wherever he goes.
